Rotarians Against Hunger (RAH) is a 2009-2010 project of Rotary District 7670 and the member clubs of the district.
The RAH program is partnering with Stop Hunger Now, an international hunger relief organization that coordinates the distribution of food and other life-saving aid around the world. See video on SHN:
Our district's goal is to raise enough money to provide one million meals for the children of Haiti.
The organization is driven by a vision to end world hunger in our lifetime and has a mission to provide food and life-saving aid to the world's most destitute and hungry people in the most sustainable and efficient manner.
Stop Hunger Now’s meal packaging program provides volunteers the opportunity to package dehydrated, high protein, and highly nutritious meals that are used in crisis situations and in school feeding programs for schools and orphanages in developing countries around the world.
In its efforts to respond to needs around the world, Stop Hunger Now receives and distributes significant donations of in-kind aid such as food, medicines, and medical supplies.
These donations and purchases of food are then packaged by volunteers into specific portion sizes, loaded into container ships and delivered to needy children under the watchful supervision of Stop Hunger Now mission coordinators to make certain that the meals get to the intended recipients.
