Salvation Army Bellringing

Service Above Self
A Community Service project of the Rotary Club of Asheville
The Salvation Army is one of the most widely known and respected relief organizations in the world.

Every year the Rotary Club of Asheville participates in the Salvation Army's most well-known fundraising events - holiday season bell-ringing/fundraising.
On Thursday, December 3rd, 2009 our club again provided volunteers for the entire day of bellringing. Rotarians worked in one of 5 different 2-hour shifts. (see below). A big thanks to Bill Roberts for coordinating the effort, and to all who braved the chilly weather.

It was a cold and blustery 42 degrees when Rotarians Tom Rightmyer and Paula Webb took their 2-4 pm shift ringing the bell and collecting donations for the Salvation Army.
