Rotary Friendship Exchange (RFE)
In October 2009 Rotary Club of Asheville will be hosting guests from Saumur, France for a visit through the Rotary Friendship Exchange program. See a MESSAGE from President-elect Nancy Brooks about this.
RFE is a program designed to encourage Rotarians and their families to make reciprocal visits to other countries, staying in each other's homes and learning firsthand about each other's cultures, customs, and values. RFE advances international understanding and peace one family at a time through personal contact, while building interclub relationships that can lead to fellowship and cooperative service projects

Saumur is a town of about 30,000 people in the Pays de la Loire region of France (click HERE for more information about Saumur). Saumur is one of Asheville's sister cities and like Asheville is located along a river. Saumur has a rich history and culture.
