Rotarians at work serving our veterans Eleanor Ashton having fellowship with Veterans as they eat a hearty breakfast. Scott Raines leads off the musical entertainment with A hearty and delicious breakfast was once again donated by the Renaissance Hotel to the veterans So many Rotarians, family and friends showed up to serve we had to rotate the serving crew to allow everyone an opportunity on the food line.
Hunt Mallett could not let Scott Raines have all the fun pickin' & grinnin'. Besides, some tunes just NEED a BANJO! A great looking Crew! John Reckweg, Rotary Club of Asheville's 2009 foreign exchange student gets in the Rotary Rotarians, families and friends were all having a great time as evidenced by the smiles on everyone's faces as they were serving veterns. John Whitmire models the latest trend in upscale hair nets. (why does he even need a hair net - he hardy has any hair?)
The veterans looked really hungry and Rotarians did not disappoint; heaping their plates with plenty of good food - Eggs, biscuits, muffins, sausage, bacon, hash browns, grits, coffee, juice and SMILES! Poor Phil Murphy looked stunned! What am I going to do with all these volunteers? Donna Pierce and other volunteers spent some quality time with veterans talking to them during breakfast and getting to know them a bit. Eleanor Ashton also spent time in conversation with veterans over coffee and breakfast.
