Fundraising

Within our Asheville community, within our WNC 7670 District, within the world of RI, none of our good intentions to make the world a better, safer, healthier place can happen without the funding to pay for the vacines, and the scholorships, and the food, and the plane fares for Rotary exchange students, and the medical and dental care, and the water wells and pipes.

Fundraising is an integral part of what we do, for without fundraising our best intentions go for nought.

Shoe Fundraiser

in 2009 we partnered with Global Dove to collect old shoes from Rotarians and friends for which Global Dove reimburses and provides money to the Asheville Middle School to help fund their student field trip to eastern NC. Global Dove ships the shoes to 3rd world countires in need of footwear.

Auction

The Rotary Club of Asheville's auction is our primary fundraising source that helps pay for HonorAir, Manna Food bank programs, student scholorships, and dozens of other local projects, as well as our overseas medical and dental projects and other international efforts.

Polio Plus

Rotary International's signature project is our effort to end Polio globally.

Quilt Show

Every August the Asheville Quilters Guild has a showing of their members' beatiful handmade quilts and thousands of quilters from around the cuntry (as well as tourists and local residents) go to their quilt show at the NC Arboretum to see their handiwork.

On the same weekend the Rotary Club of Asheville holds a show for various quilting vendors and suppliers to offer their wares to the thousands of hobby quilters that come to our community to attend the AQG display. Proceeds from our quilt show help fund many of our club's community projects, such as HonorAir and Habitat Houses, as well as organizations such as MANNA food bank.
